1. Native iPhone emergency setup
- Health → Medical ID — emergency contacts, conditions, Show When Locked
- Settings → Emergency SOS — enable call shortcuts
- Settings → Privacy & Security → Crash Detection (supported models)
2. Install SOS Community Alert
- Install TestFlight from App Store (beta builds)
- Requires Apple Developer distribution — link provided by admin when ready
- Do not use Expo Go for SOS testing
3. App permissions (iOS)
- Location → Always — recommended for ride monitoring with screen off
- Notifications → Allow — ride status and crash countdown
4. iOS limitations (important)
- If you force-quit the app, background monitoring stops (Apple platform limit)
- Background GPS works with Always permission; crash sensors may be limited when suspended
- Community alerts are separate from Apple Emergency SOS and Crash Detection
