1. Native Android emergency setup
- Settings → Safety & Emergency → Emergency Contacts
- Enable Emergency SOS and Car Crash Detection (if supported — e.g. Pixel)
2. Install SOS Community Alert
- Download APK from SOS Setup page (link when build ready)
- Allow install from browser/files if prompted
- Do not use Expo Go for SOS testing
3. App permissions (Android)
- Location → Allow all the time
- Notifications → Allow
- Battery → Unrestricted — disable battery optimization for the app
4. Android advantages
- Foreground service notification keeps ride monitoring active with screen off
- Background location task supported in installed builds
