SOS Channel Rules & Guidelines

Please DO NOT mute the SOS EMERGENCY ALERT channel. Being able to look after each other is only possible if we hear incoming emergency alerts.

As a community, we look after each other. If there is an SOS Alert, it will contain a map pin. If you are nearby, and are willing to do so, please respond and check the situation. Render appropriate aid as per your level of training

There is a channel for sos-emergency-alert. And there is a channel for responding. If you respond to the alert, please post in the responding channel, so we know someone is going to help. The responding channel is how we as a community will help aid a downed rider, and will coordinate assistance

The SOS system exists for genuine emergencies and rider support only. The SOS system exists to help riders:

• request urgent assistance
• coordinate rider support
• notify nearby community members
• receive non-professional emergency help when available

This is a rider support network — not an emergency dispatch service.

For medical emergencies or immediate danger:

Contact UAE emergency services first.

ACCEPTABLE SOS USES

• Accidents & Rider Down Situations
• crashes
• injuries
• rider down
• urgent medical situations

PROHIBITED USES

• jokes or prank alerts
• testing in live channels
• non-urgent chat
• advertising
• ride invitations
• arguments or disputes
• attention seeking
• illegal activity assistance
• evading law enforcement

False or abusive SOS use may result in immediate ban.

TESTING RULES

DO NOT test the SOS system in live emergency channels.

Use designated test channel.

SAFETY RULES FOR RESPONDERS

• Never place yourself in danger to respond to an SOS
• Do NOT speed recklessly
• Do NOT violate laws
• Do NOT engage in confrontations
• Do NOT attempt medical procedures beyond training
• Do NOT impersonate emergency personnel

Your own safety comes first.

MEDICAL RESPONSE GUIDELINES

• Call emergency services immediately if serious injury is suspected
• Avoid moving injured riders unless necessary for safety
• Provide location details clearly
• Keep scene safe when possible
• Only provide medical assistance within your level of training

PRIVACY & SECURITY

• Do not publicly share personal phone numbers
• Do not share medical details
• Do not share private addresses
• Do not post accident photos without consent

Sensitive information should be handled respectfully.

COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY

The SOS system works because riders help riders. Use good judgment, act responsibly, and look after each other whenever safely possible.

There is a non-emergency-help-requested channel, in addition to the SOS Alert channel.

This channel is to be used for requested community non-emergency support, such as:

Mechanical Breakdowns

• flat tires
• dead battery
• fuel shortage
• overheating
• chain issues
• electrical problems

Rider Safety Situations

• stranded rider
• unsafe roadside situation
• lost rider requiring assistance

This channel is intended only for posts from community members requesting non-emergency aid.

As with SOS Alerts, if you are responding to a request for non-emergency assistance, please post/discuss in the responding channel
